ESG

It is inside everything we put outside

We work with nature, not against it. We make use of the things nearby and we build resilience and adaptability into our business. We call this approach outside-ology.

At CROWD, we are committed to running our company — including all brands and subsidiaries — in a way that takes full responsibility for social, environmental, and governance sustainability.

Through our business, we face the opportunity to actively drive positive change in society. This means taking a critical look at every aspect of our operations, engaging in open dialogue, and empowering all stakeholders across the value chain — and beyond — to take meaningful action.

  • HITSA expands CO₂ transparency through LCAs and EPDs
Our subsidiary HITSA is making CO₂ emission data available for urban furniture such as park benches, bike racks, litter bins, and bollards. By developing Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for standard products and third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for selected products, customers will be supported in making informed, data-driven sustainability decisions for projects and tenders. The first LCAs and EPDs are already available and can be accessed via the HITSA website, with future availability on relevant EPD databases planned.

We act responsibly

As an innovative company with an international presence, CROWD takes responsibility for ethical and future-oriented business practices. Sustainability, integrity, and transparency are not just buzzwords for us — they are fundamental principles that guide our daily actions toward people, the environment, and our market partners.

Our Supplier Code of Conduct provides a clear framework for responsible, lawful, and fair behavior. It defines the standards we hold ourselves to in all interactions with partners and the public. We are committed to upholding human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and good corporate governance in all of our business activities — and throughout our value chain — in line with internationally recognized principles.

We also expect our business partners, especially suppliers and service providers, to be familiar with and act in accordance with these values. Familiarity with our Code of Conduct and a willingness to integrate ethical and sustainable practices into their own operations are essential. At CROWD, responsible business is not a solo effort — it’s a shared responsibility.

Our implementation principles

We offer a future-proof, flexible and extensive range of products in urban furniture, cycling
infrastructure, sports and play as well as shelters with a strong commitment to circularity.

1

Real

Our efforts must be authentic and aligned with business strategy. Goals are measurable and backed by concrete actions.

2

Operational

Our goals are realistic and feasible. They must be part of everyday business operations, with clear responsibilities, processes, and performance tracking.

3

Visible

Efforts are communicated clearly to both internal and external stakeholders, making ESG progress visible and credible.

4

Transparency

Our sustainability work should be as transparent as possible. We report openly on our achievements and challenges.
